What to Expect
|
At Absolute Therapy, you can expect to be treated with warmth, respect and professionalism.
Our fully quailified therapists are some of the best in Wellington.
On arrival you will fill in a one-page client information form, this will give us basic facts about any health issues and areas of concern regarding muscular discomfort.
Your therapist will then show you to one of our spacious treatment rooms, where they will have a chat with you about what you want to achieve from your massage. They will leave the room while you dress down to your underwear and hop between fresh linen sheets on a comfy massage table. At the end of your massage you will be covered in warm blankets and left to re-dress. Of course, you are in control during the treatment and may ask your therapist to change any aspect of the massage at any time.

I love to massage, I know a good massage can help with so many health issues, from a sore back, pregnancy discomfort, hip pain, OOS, headaches, reducing stress and so much more. I've seen so many good results over my years as a therapist that I know a truly good massage can do wonders. With my knowledge of the human body, years of experience and a bit of intuition I work with you to create the massage you really need & want. I use a mix off massage styles to alleviate pain and bring back a sense of feeling "good". I am well known for my deep tissue work, I want results and am not shy about causing "the good pain" to speed recovery (only if you are up for it ;). Rest assured I always mix in alot of soothing and calming techniques to make the massage a wonderful healing treatment.

I
specialize in pain management, specifically remedial massage including
neuromuscular, dry needling & trigger Point Release techniques. Most
of my work is geared toward treating postural & muscuoloskeletal
dysfunctions that end up causing things like chronic low back pain,
shoulder, neck or upper back pain. My work aims to find the source of
the problem and treat it, not just the symptoms, so that the client
feels better for longer. Sometimes a relaxation massage is needed &
can really make a huge difference to stress-related problems. I also
specialize in lymphatic drainage, which can be very effective for
reducing chronic swelling in ankles or after lymph nodes have been
removed due to breast cancer. It is also very effective at stimulating
the immune system and can increase white blood cell production by up to
30 percent.

Aromatherapy & Energy Healing
Aromatherapy and energy healing go hand-in-hand. Essential oils calm the nerves, improve mood, and support the immune system. Hands-on energy healing clears blocks in the chakras and charges the vital life force. Combined, these two techniques can help treat minor health issues (e.g. IBS, menstrual cramps, sinus/breathing congestion caused by colds) and support weight loss programs.
Before your session begins, I will spend 10 – 15 minutes consulting
with you and determine exactly what oils best support your current
health and mood. With light touch, I will then massage the oils into
your feet. Next, I use a technique called a chelation to clear,
balance, and charge the energy in the body and aura. This technique
involves gentle laying-on of hands. I start the chelation at the feet,
and work my way up the body, positioning my hands directly on each of
the seven chakras

Cancellation Policy
|
We have a 24 hr cancellation policy.
We are a busy wee clinic and generally have a waiting list of stressed out or injured people wanting our help, it's a shame if these people miss out - if you need to cancel or change an appointment please give us plenty of warning so we can offer that massage time to someone else in need. (Important note: all our therapists are self employed- if we don't massage we don't get paid).
The full fee will be charged for less than 24 hrs notice of cancellation. This may be reduced for special circumstances - at your therapists discretion.
