Regular massage can reduce the recurrence of a large range of issues from stress to chronic tension headaches, sciatica, lower back pain, sports injury or dysfunction, chronic muscular pain, carpal tunnel, occupational overuse syndrome. The benefits of yoga are also well known and with our professional instructors who are also trained massage therapists you can experience how yoga and massage can support each other to enhance your wellbeing.

Choose or combine any of the modalities below. If you are not sure what you need just give us a call or send us an email to see if we can help.

Remedial Massage Therapy
Remedial Massage is the basic umbrella for many for the different modalities and techniques that can be integrated the the most effective outcome for you. It is used to address specific injuries and dysfunctions to reduce pain and increase function. It is likely to include Neuromuscular and Trigger Point Therapy, deep tissue and deep release.

Fascial Kinetics (a Bowen Therapy)
The Bowen Therapy moves are a form of gentle and precise soft tissue manipulation. These moves are focused on crucial junctions of fascial planes, muscles, ligaments, tendons, nerve pathways, blood and lymph vessels. Tissue restrictions are freed, reconnections are made.
The Fascial Kinetics focus on fascia and the naturally brings about an optimum rate of healing that can take a few days to fully integrate based on an individual's resources and their level of injury. The therapy as achieved a high status in natural therapies where is is accepted along with other modalities. Combined with the Remedial Massage Therapists eye and ongoing education into the importance of symmetry results are often surprising and rapid. For injury usually 3 or 4 sessions shows response and 'preventative' treatments are of great benefit to help keep the body in a state of optimal balance and prevent re-injury.
Fascial Kinetics is effective and safe for everyone from the newly born to the less young.

Acupuncture Needling for Musculoskeletal Issues
Acu-Needling is a combination of Acpuncture Needles from ancient Chinese Traditional Medicine used for Neuromuscular Therapy (NMT). NMT searches for the underlying cause of long-standing pain and aims to eliminate trigger points and work on the pain messages being sent through the nervous system. See website for more information.

Sports Massage and Deep Tissue Massage
Many injuries occur because muscles have been suffering from tension over a period of time. When increased strain is placed on muscles during sports activity the tissues may be injured or not recover. Regular massage is increasingly popular as injury prevention, rehabilitation and to aid recovery between training or events.

Relaxation and Stress Management
Relaxing doesn't mean it isn't deep and effective for releasing tension and pain! Massage has been well documented to reduce stress hormones in the body, creating beneficial chemical changes that can result in pain relief, increased immunity, decreased anxiety, improved mood, enhanced sleep, improved circulation and reduced fatigue. The effects are cumulative and regular massage increases resilience and optimizes well being in body and mind.

Aromatherapy
Aromatherapy combines essential oils with relaxation massage to support and deepen the benefits for you.

Ayurveda
Ayurveda Massage (Abhyanga) is a choreographed sequence of strokes for the full body using oil from head to toes. The rythmic flow of strokes contours the body and allows the mind to move into a restful feeling, healing state rather than a thinking state.

Hot Stone Massage
Hot Stone Massage uses heated stones as an extension of their hands by pacing them on the body so that the heat can enter iinto the muscles and connective tissues, soothing and releasing deeply held tensions, balancing energy and offering deep replenishing.

Pregnancy Massage
Take to relax and nurture yourself and your baby. The massage is adapted to both your changing needs over the progression of your pregnancy and can ease tension and pain, improve lymphatic circulation.

.... and that's not all!

Yoga Yoga (including breathing and mindfulness)
Try a one on one session to deepen your practice and suit your movements and postures to your bodymind. Beginners can learn how to do a class without risking injury and more advanced practitioners can work on postures more deeply.
With breathwork and meditation learn to deepen the breath, center the mind and let go of built up tensions, improving resilience, creativity, energy, adaptability and joy. Musculoskeletal pain and tension is often the result of chemical imbalances created by inefficient shallow breathing. Relearn what is rightfully ours, the ability to completely replenish the cells with vital lifegiving oxygen.

Yoga Therapy
The ancient science of yoga helps you to connect with your inner being, to bring health and harmony on a physical, mental and spiritual level.
To help you to achieve this state of wellbeing, the yoga therapy consultations integrate all elements of traditional yoga. Focus may not only be on the physical postures, but also on breathing practices, meditation, relaxation, working with sound and incorporating some yoga philosophy.
